| April 1797:
Joined United Irishmen June 1st 1798: Battle of Newtownbarry (Bunclody) June 9th 1798: Battle of Arklow. June 21st 1798: Vinegar Hill. June 25th 1798: 2nd Battle of Hacketstown. July 16th 1798: Joseph Holt Returns from unsuccessful rebellion in County Meath. Febuary 15th 1799: Escape from Derrynamuck, Glen of Imaal. Febuary 23rd 1799: 8 prisoners from Derrynamuck were courtmartialled and all were hanged except Hugh Byrne. September 20th 1803: Emmet's rebellion in Dublin failed. December 7th/8th 1803: Surrendered to Mr.Hume M.P. and imprisoned in Kilmainham Gaol . August 1805 :Departed to Australia abord Tellicherry left from Cobh Harbour. Early 1806: Arrived in Australia. August 23rd 1825: Died. |
